Netherton Utd produced a great second half display to crush Desborough Town Reserves, a side that are ten points clear in the UCL Reserve League.

Netherton started the game well and created a number of chances which they didn't take, they hit the post and bar on three occasions in the first 25 minutes, as well as being guilty of missing several other good chances. Indeed you could see this was beginning to frustrate the Netherton players, even more so when on a rare attack the oppositions right winger cut through from the right hand side an finished well on 32 minutes. Netherton responded well and continued to create more chances, thankfully one was finally taken on the stroke of half time. It was a great header from 8 yards out by Roberto Da Silva from a Herbie Panting free kick. HT 1-1.

The second half was one way traffic right from kick off, it didn't take Netherton long to get their second goal, Adam Scott breaking the Offside trap to finish expertly on 52 minutes. Five minutes later Netherton had their third goal this time Tommy Randall calmly finishing, after being put through by a sumptuous Ash Jackson through ball. Roberto Da Silva then set up Adam Scott for his second on the hour mark, Scott then returning the favour for Da Silva to tap in his second on 67 mins. Adam Scott then completed his Hat-Trick on 75 mins rounding the keeper after being put in by a great ball from substitute Kenneth Wheatland. That goal capped a man of the match performance from Adam Scott who has now scored six goals in his last three matches. Dan Fountain had the last chance of the match, and unlucky to see his left footed volley well saved by the visiting keeper.
