A wonderstrike from Karl Gibbs produced the goal that earned Netherton's first team a 1-0 win at Whittlesey last night - and secured the PDFL Premier League title for the first time ever in the club's history!

The team were presented with the League trophy at the conclusion of the game and the players, management team and supporters celebrated this great and much deserved achievement together.

A massive well done to Jon Harrisson, Tommy Flynn and Simon Roberts for managing this successful squad of players and of course well done to the players for their efforts throughout the season - the majority have never
won this league title before.

An outstanding week for the club with an excellent League and Cup double for Simon's U14 Hawks team and also a Cup win for the U12's too.

The first team season continues on a high with 3 Cup Finals still to look forward to - the Northants County Cup Final, the Presidents Shield and the PFA Cup Final - which if they can add to the League title, has the potential for an unprecedented, history-making season.
